Iagoba Apellaniz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at EHU since 2024. He works in quantum metrology and quantum entanglement theory, with recognized contributions, including a well-established review article on quantum metrology.
He carried out his PhD research at EHU between 2012 and 2017 under the supervision of Géza Tóth, during which he produced various publications, including a review article on quantum metrology, and collaborated with leading international researchers such as Otfried Gühne and Augusto Smerzi.
fter defending his thesis, he joined Géza Tóth’s group at EHU as a postdoctoral researcher (2017–2018), publishing, among other works, a paper in Science. He then worked as a lecturer at the University of Mondragón from 2019 to 2021, before returning to EHU as a postdoctoral researcher in the same group (2021–2023), where he continued publishing on quantum entanglement.
